- 1/2 heaping cup mustard seeds
- 1/4 cup dry mustard
- 1/2 cup malt vinegar
- 1 cup medium-bodied ale
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1/4 teaspoons cayenne pepper
- 1/4 teaspoons paprika
Step by Step Instructions
Sweet Ale Mustard Recipe
Combine the mustard seeds and mustard with the vinegar, and cover. Allow the mixture to sit at room temperature for at least 1 hour or longer to mellow the strong flavors.
Combine the mustard mixture with the remaining ingredients in a food processor; blend to a coarse puree. Refrigerate mixture for at least 24 hours; then taste, and adjust the seasoning to your preference.
