Free Quilt Block: Bridges Curved Quilt Block

Excerpt Wonderful Curves Sampler Quilt Block Book by Sew Kind of Wonderful’s Jenny Pedigo and Helen Robinson with their sister, Sherilyn Mortensen

We are “sew” excited for our fourth book, Wonderful Curves Sampler Quilt Block Book! As with our other books, Contemporary Curved Quilts, One Wonderful Curve, and Mini Wonderful Curves, the focus is on easily cutting and sewing curves but with sampler blocks.

We love sampler quilts! They are so interesting to look at with each block having its own personality. We love the versatility of design and originality that come with color choices and layout options when working with 30 different blocks. We thought it would be fun to add curves to traditional blocks and to create some original blocks to mix in with traditional ones. We so enjoyed designing the 30 blocks in this book, which offer a fun mix of repeated elements, recognizable objects, and medallion style blocks.

Mod Sampler Quilt
Finished size: 76″ x 91″

We love making monochromatic quilts and blocks! They always feel very organized. We really wanted this sampler quilt to feel as if the color was slowly moving around the quilt. It is still full-spectrum but very organized, which makes us very happy!
