Calling all quilters! Are you an experienced quilter looking for something new or different? Are you someone who has thought of quilting but needed simple projects to get you started? Either way, here is the answer! Fabric enthusiasts across the country are taking the playful concept of quilted postcards to extremes. Both hand and machine sewers will appreciate the array of designs you can make, ranging from traditional appliqué to primitive stitching. Whether you want to lift someone's spirits with the pattern of a hot air balloon, conjure up a teatime theme, create a party invite, or send a thank you note, these projects overflow with new, fresh applications of embellishments. Even non-quilters will enjoy the ease of fusing patchwork puzzles. These techniques are for anyone and everyone interested in creating personalized expressions. You'll find a fabulous collection of mailable treasures that can be completed in only a morning or afternoon. Some can be done in just an hour! This vibrant combination of quilting and cardmaking is fun and will appeal to crafters with limited time. That's all of us!

About the Author

Cheryl Haynes has crafting in her blood: her parents were basket makers and her grandmothers were quilters. She has designed well over 300 patterns and books. She has had quilts displayed in Calendars and various quilting magazines. She began her business by hand crafting oak and reed baskets, designing patterns for dolls and quilted wall hangings. Today she runs the Prairie Grove Peddler, a pattern website.
