Fox Chapel Publishing Co., Inc.
903 Square Street, Mount Joy, PA 17552
The company initially published a variety of cookbooks, as well as serving as the distributor for children’s and quilting books. Fox Chapel Publishing expanded into woodworking publications when Alan acquired the published works of George Lehman. Although not a woodworker himself, Alan always appreciated craftsmanship and artistry of handcrafted wood pieces. Today Fox Chapel Publishing is a leading publisher of woodcarving and woodworking books, in addition to two quarterly periodicals, Woodcarving Illustrated and Scroll Saw Woodworking & Crafts.
As Fox Chapel continued to grow, so too was the need to find office space suitable for its growing team. What started in the kitchen of Alan’s home, made the move to its first office location in New Holland, Pennsylvania, later relocating to office and warehouse space in a former carriage house in Neffsville, Pennsylvania. In 1996, the company again relocated to a four-story converted brick warehouse in East Petersburg, Pennsylvania, and in 2015? (building history notes relocated in 2019), Fox Chapel Publishing moved to its current headquarters in Mt. Joy, Pennsylvania, in a historic three-story brick building with a rich history.
