About the Author

Dennis Roghair started carving at an early age with a pocket knife, a tool he used to carve many small projects. In high school, he inherited hand carving tools by way of a brother's wife. With these tools, he paid his way through college in Utah doing sculptures while earning a degree in wildlife management. Dennis now carves full time in Hinckley, Minnesota. He can be reached there or contacted through his website at www.SculptureByRoghair.com. | Jamie Doeren is an award-winning artist with more than 27 years of experience in sculpture. The author of two books on chainsaw carving, he operates a sculpture business and gallery in Abrams, Wisconsin. Jamie has won three world championships and four national titles in chainsaw carving competitions, and is credited with the creation of the United Chainsaw Carver’s Guild
